Started in early 1997, it provided a low price guarantee along with free shipping in the USA to establish itself as the desired online destination for magazine subscriptions in the United States and Canada.
As a rapidly growing hybrid internet retail business, our cgi-based ecommerce infrastructure was holding us back. Increasing our online presence with the ensuing traffic compelled us to execute a platform upgrade that would substantially reduce our labor intensive manual processes, work well with our legacy systems, and enable us to grow geometrically with newer online opportunities.
