Criteria For Shopping Cart Software - Importance of a Search Function

Recently I purchased a new linksys router from Amazon, the words largest online retailer. This was not my first time making a purchase on amazon, but it was the first time that I was conscious of the steps I took when I made the purchase. cdsfd times past I would browse by category or if I knew exactly what product I wanted I would just type it in the search box. This time however, I decided to type wireless router in to the main search area on amazon’s home page. A quick result of different brands of routers showed up on my screen. The left side of my screen gave me the option to narrow my search by category. I then realized how depended I was on the search option, and if I would have gone browsing though categories, it would have taken me a longer time to find the router which I was looking for.

The reason I just walked though my whole amazon shopping experience is simple. I am trying to explain the importance of having a good search function within a shopping cart solution. Many times customers don’t really know what they want, and browsing though product categories is sufficient, however, most times online consumers know what they are looking for, and want to purchase the product immediately. We are living in a fast food  nation, which simply means folks these days don’t have patients American’s want their products delivered fast and with a smile.

WebCart has tested a number of methods of providing advanced and easy search functionality in to its shopping cart solution. The result has yielded a robust search function that mirrors the sites of fortune 500 companies. Every piece of text within the shopping cart is searched and WebCart’s unique AI (artificial intelligence) filters the results based on relevancy. WebCart, once again brings the criteria for shopping cart software to the forefront of software development.

Criteria For Shopping Cart Software - Cross Sell Products Online With Ease

One of my earliest “real” jobs was working for, California Federal Bank, in southern California as a teller. I was 19 years old, in college trying to make a few extra bucks to pay for books and dates. What I remember most from my job was the emphasis my superiors placed on cross selling bank services to customers. The tellers were instructed to sell investments, loans and new accounts based on the amount of assets a client would have in their account at the time of the transaction. The concept of cross selling, never really left my mind, and in my professional life I have always tried to apply it wherever I saw fit. Therefore, WebCart was defiantly no exception, and early on I pushed for a cross selling system which would over shadow all of our competitors.

WebCart’s cross selling module in my opinion, surpass the criteria for shopping cart software, by providing an easy to understand user interface, as well as a robust engine which uses advanced calculations to cross sell best selling products to online consumers.

ECommerce merchants should always be looking at ways to capitalize on each and every sale. With other shopping cart solutions, cross selling seems like a difficult and daunting task, to say the least. Consequently, many merchants who are not tech savvy tend to ignore any cross selling online. WebCart changes this by providing an easy to use and understand cross selling backend which only requires a few clicks of the mouse to potentially generate additional profit.
