The Flawless Performance Of The HP Laserjet 1320 Toner Cartridges

by Bryan Sonners

The competent and capable HP LaserJet 1320 printer will come to a purchaser ready to put forth all of the capabilities that Hewlett-Packard has designed into it. It is a monochrome laser jet printer using HP 1320 printer toner cartridges that has been noted for its excellent performance for most operational circumstances. It's versatile too, being able to run off of many different Windows and Mac operating systems. It's also nicely priced, to boot.

Print speed with this HP printer comes in at a very nice 22 pages in a minute. Outside observers say it normally will chug along at about 17.5 pages in a minute, which is still a very nice rate when one considers what the printer will go for. From the time it's been tasked with the job until the time it can put out the first page is only 8 seconds, which is exceptional for a machine intended for a very small workgroup or office.

HP builds the 1320 in a very compact casing, which means it looks to have been specifically designed to sit right up next to a computer on just about any-sized desktop or in an area accessible to the whole workgroup. It has no built-in networking capability, but the option exists. The regular HP LaserJet bulk toner 1320 is meant to be connected directly to a PC or Mac.

Versatility seems to be a key word when it comes to most of the 1300-series printers and there's even a wireless connectivity option available for a price. Standard 1320 printers use traditional wired technology to do so, and this includes a parallel port, as well as a high-speed USB port connection. Wireless capability comes in 802.11g flavor, but it will lead to the bottom-line price.

For those looking for a high-quality print product, this HP printer will certainly meet their expectations. It delivers 1,200 x 1,200 dots per inch print resolution, meaning the sharpness and clarity of the produced product will be excellent across the board. It loses none of its quality either, as font size shrinks, though at the very smallest (two or three-point) there might be a little blurriness, but there will be no running together.

For a machine intended for mainly PC-to-printer duties, it's a bit surprising that the LaserJet 1320 offers a duplex (two-sided) printing capability, but it does. And it seems to be relatively quiet while printing on both sides, which isn't always the case for many printers in the 1320's market segment. There are a great many different font types included within the printers software capabilities, as well.

There's also 16 MB of RAM that can be upgraded to 44 MB if needed, which it usually won't be if the printer is ran as a personal unit. A network may require it, and this printer will handle it, as well as handle many different Windows and Mac operating systems.

The HP LaserJet 1320 printer can hold up to 500 sheets of paper, and prints out on most media stock. It can be found for as little as $150, though new units often run around $400. With various options, it can act as a standalone network printer and it is a fairly durable machine, having a 10,000 page monthly duty cycle backing it up. There is a great deal to like about the 1320, it has to be said.

This printer uses HP LaserJet 1320 laser toner which can be found anywhere HP LaserJet printer toner cartridge is sold. The smart user will search online for bulk toner as the best prices seem to be found there.
