Reasons For Considering The Laserjet 2200 Cartridge

by Bryan Sonners

When considering the HP LaserJet 2200 printer and LaserJet 2200 replacement toner, keep in mind that one will be getting a workhorse laser printer meant to be used mainly as a computer-to-printer unit for the most part. It features excellent print speed and good print quality at a price (new, around $130) that will be hard to beat for those small office or home office entrepreneurs on a budget.

At 18 pages per minute of monochrome output, there are few other laser printers at this price point that can keep up with the LaserJet 2200. In fact, most other printers selling for what this unit currently goes for would be hard pressed to deliver print speed within three or four pages per minute of this printer, which might be a strong selling point for most any prospective customer.

Print quality offered by the HP cartridge is excellent it must be said. At 1,200 dots per inch, it will deliver a high-quality print product that will be excellent across most assessment benchmarks. Blurriness or smearing will be absent and all text will look rich and deep. Also as well, it handles the typical graphics-intensive print job when it needs to.

In terms of physical size, the HP 2200 -- at 10 inches high by 16 inches wide -- will sit on any desktop unobtrusively and at a low weight. It matches up well against most of its competition for a fact. Given that it delivers both high print speed and excellent print quality, it's only surprising that it's not a big, bulky printer.

When it comes to supplied memory, this HP unit comes with 8 MB of it, though that can be upgraded to 72 MB if needs dictate. Processing power is shared with the computer to which it's connected. It all is kept tightly controlled and moving around by means of a 133 MHz microprocessor, which is sufficient to keep most print tasks organized and moving through the print queue with little trouble.

The LaserJet 2200 is also fairly versatile in terms of how it can be connected to a computer or even to a very small workgroup. It comes with both USB and parallel port connection capabilities right out of the box. It will not, however, come with a USB cable, so be prepared to shell out several additional dollars for a good quality cable to run between the printer and the computer.

Paper capacity for this machine is a very fine 350 sheets, 250 of which can be held in a single auto load input tray. A single manual load input slot can also accommodate another 100 sheets of paper. As far as all the different kinds of paper stock and media stock the printer can handle, most experts say it is equally as versatile at that as it is at being able to connect to a computer.

With a monthly duty cycle of 40,000 pages, the HP LaserJet 2200 printer is a durable model from Hewlett-Packard that can run well on a number of Windows and even Mac OS 7.5.5 operating systems. It can be found for about $120 retail and it offers its user good print speed and excellent print quality, making it an ideal candidate for most small office/home office environments.

Every sheet produced by the HP LaserJet 2200 cartridges will show your commitment to professionalism. Value is in the results of using HP LaserJet ink and toner and in finding the best way to order compatible toner.
