The Dangers of Spyware
My friend is a sport fisherman, at least that's what he'd like to be, on a day to day basis he repairs small networks and does an excellent job and has garnered a sterling reputation. When I'm stuck with a computer quandary, my friend is the person I dial and no matter how difficult or intricate the problem, give him some room and he'll find a resolution. He mentioned something disquieting over lunch, it seems that 80% of the units he fixes have spyware or adware on their hard drives, and many his customers are unaware of it; only calling him when their computers slow or stall.
The world wide web is like to a living, breathing creature forever developing, and not always in a supportive path, though it certainly has allowed me my career of choice. As times flows and proficiency moves forward, so too does spyware & adware. It is crucial in this day and age to have Spyware Removal software installed and to run it regularly; imperative is regularly updating the software, because what may have worked previoulsy might miss a virus or spywarecoded today.
As research for this article (but not using this system) I performed a test, turning OFF my spyware removal software then purposedly visiting several auto surf sites. These surfing exchanges are ideal for new internet marketers, providing them the method to send traffic to their sites, simply by their visiting and looking at other relevant sites. The operation is performed this way:
A person visits a particular site and receives credits for looking at the site The credits are assigned to a site you want to promote. when other people surf, your website is offered for review. The system allows everyone to receive traffic to their sites.
This is a great way to get free traffic, however a few (not all) of these surfing sites are either part of a larger entity or used by marketers who are less than honest. Their scheme not to merely display an offer or website, but to install spyware on your system. And with today's technology some spyware/adware is intelligient enough to trigger the installation of spyware/adware onto your system, simply by surfing to their innocent looking home page. I'm not knocking these sites or telling you not to use them, I am recommending caution and recommending you be sure your system is secure.
If you are studying this, studies say you already have or will soon run into spyware or adware. If you're thinking, I don't visit movies or music sites and I certainly don't download tainted programs, then you are one of the few, but you are still need to be prepared. Take the precaution. Remember the old warning...
'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'
You must be the one to take the protective measures. Much of your data it is vital, either from work or personal reasons; just imagine waking up to find all your details gone. Alarming, completely... Might it happen?... It's happened to others. Preventable? Yes by using the most highly rated adware removal programs.
Okay are you listening now, maybe you're thinking what will spyware and adware do to my PC. Great, glad to know you're taking heed. In most cases spyware/adware/malware are not were not coded to erase files, rather to report your surfing habits. Mostly they collect data then report your activity to someone/somewhere; they can trigger advertisements and probably will choke your computer, slow your processor and reduce your connection to the net. It's not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.
Thankfully there are sharp people that feel exactly the same way I feel; these programmers are willing to take action. I don't know how to write code, My skill is writing, and I write these facts to give advance warning and propose you make preparations and shield your system. I thank those coders with the hard work and spirit to write then distribute these top notch spyware/adware removal tools.
Once you decide on one of the spyware/adware programs to use, I'd recommend frequent scans of your home computer. If you set up the spyware removal tool properly, most of the grunt work is done on autopilot, and almost certainly while you're asleep.
